In response, Amosun’s media office dismissed Dangote’s allegations as “deliberate mischief,” questioning the legitimacy of the claims. They challenged Dangote to provide the necessary construction approvals to clarify the situation, emphasizing that government functions require appropriate approvals from relevant agencies. The statement also noted that Amosun’s administration was previously praised by Dangote for its support in fostering investment in Ogun State, including the successful launch of the Ibese Cement factory. Amosun’s office also highlighted the state’s significant role in attracting investments, with Ogun being recognized for its business-friendly environment during his tenure.

Amosun’s team further called for a constructive dialogue and suggested that Dangote present details of his land acquisition and planning approvals. They concluded with a strong message about integrity, stating that those with strong values would continue to uphold high standards in their endeavors, regardless of external pressures.
