Defence Chief Warns Nigerian Soldiers: Bribery And Extortion Will Not Be Tolerated

Musa encouraged citizens to report any misconduct by military personnel, assuring them of the Army’s dedication to protecting the nation’s well-being.
Speaking in Hausa, he stated, “Soldiers should avoid actions that could lead to public distrust. Their duty is to protect lives and property, and accepting bribes only betrays the public.”
He assured the public that both Nigerians and the government stand behind the Army, adding, “We want Nigerians to trust that the Army is committed to their safety and will not engage in actions that bring shame to the country.”
