Bail Granted: Bobrisky Released By EFCC After Stunning Claims Of Bribery ‘I’m Injured And Innocent’

Bobrisky’s arrest quickly became a hot topic on social media when he informed his followers that he had sustained injuries during the incident, saying, “Nigerians, help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”

He was subsequently taken to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja for questioning regarding allegations that he bribed EFCC officers to dismiss prior money laundering charges. These allegations arose from a voice note shared by social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, in which Bobrisky purportedly claimed to have paid N15 million to EFCC officials to drop the charges against him.

Late Friday night, Bobrisky was granted bail after completing the necessary formalities. EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the release to Punch on Saturday but declined to provide further details.

Sources indicate that Bobrisky denied all allegations of bribery during his questioning, disputing the authenticity of the voice note and challenging the person who posted it to provide evidence. “He denied any claims about releasing money to any officials as a bribe to dismiss the money laundering charges. He stated that nobody had requested money from him at the EFCC and that he hadn’t given anything to anyone,” the source revealed.
