Dele Momodu Slams Government: ‘Security Forces in Lagos Could Have Wiped Out Boko Haram in Sambisa

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), strongly criticized the government’s decision to deploy a massive number of security forces to Lagos State during the nationwide protests. Momodu argued that this heavy security presence was not only excessive but also a misallocation of resources.

According to Momodu, if the same number of security agents had been deployed to the Sambisa Forest, the notorious stronghold of Boko Haram, the terrorist group might have been eradicated by now. He expressed his disappointment in how the government handled the protests, suggesting that their priorities were misplaced.

Furthermore, Momodu highlighted that the situation became so tense that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had to intervene, urging the military to refrain from harming innocent protesters.

In his own words, Dele Momodu stated, “If the number of security agencies we saw in Lagos alone were sent to Sambisa, I am sure by now we would have wiped out Boko Haram.”
