Disappointment For Ghanaians As Wizkid Didn’t Show Up

Fans of Nigerian music star Ayo Balogun, aka Wizkid, have been let down after the singer failed to appear at a concert in Ghana.

Wizkid had confirmed his attendance hours before the event via a tweet but the Grammy award winner failed to show up.“Accra Sports Stadium tonight,” he tweeted via his verified handle.

Around 40,000 fans were expected at the event venue, Accra Stadium, with the majority of them showing up.The show was also supposed to be the singer’s first performance in Africa of his new album, ‘More Love, Less Ego.’

Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, the musician apologized to his fans for his absence from the event.He stated on Twitter that there were production and safety issues.

He did, however, promise that a new date and details for the concert would be announced shortly.”My brand is something I don’t play with!” he says in part of his tweet. I sincerely apologize to everyone who came out to support me last night. I was charged up and excited to do this show.
