Does This Justify Obaseki’s Compulsory Vaccination In Edo (See Table)

The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has insisted on mandatory vaccination with the ‘No Vaccine, No Work’ policy for those in civil service.

The implementation of this policy took off days ago with some civil servants were left astounded.

The statement from the head of the enforcement team on Tuesday in a briefing reads “What we are going to do tomorrow is to allow those who have the authentic vaccination card, access to their government working places and those without, can go back and work from home and government will know how to deal with that,”

Does this chart below justify the No vaccine, No work policy of the state government?

From the chart below, Edo is second with most deaths related to Covid. Edo has 215 deaths. Lagos is first with 664 deaths.

They say numbers don’t lie, but this statement/saying is sometimes flawed and holds no steam.

Lagos with the highest death toll is yet to implement any policy related to vaccination. From a perspective, Obaseki could be said to being proactive with his policy. To the best of my knowledge, in the western world, vaccination is never mandatory.
