If your handset is underperforming, there is luckily one incredibly easy trick you can use to reset things and get your iPhone back to full working order.

One iPhone user realised his new iPhone 13 wasn’t running as fast as it should with its processor operating at full power, and discovered a way to fix it.

To speed things up, you can perform a ‘force reboot’. This is where you press and release the ‘volume up’ button and then do the same with the volume down button while holding the side button.

Keep the side button held down until the Apple logo lights up the screen, and wait for the phone to start up.

This clears the phone’s memory and allows it to start everything from fresh, meaning it won’t be clogged up with unnecessary programs.

While the trick works well, you shouldn’t do it too often. Apple advise you only need to do it when normal restarts don’t fix a problem, and overdoing it could cause you to lose data and files.
