Muhammadu Buhari Foundation, which was established by the former president’s supporters, and not for Buhari’s personal use.

In a statement, Shehu outlined that the allocation was fully legal, but the Foundation faced issues with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) due to an unusually high certificate of occupancy fee, far greater than fees charged to similar organizations.

Although the exact reasons behind the FCTA’s land revocation remain unclear, Shehu suggested it could be due to administrative error or deliberate action. He also emphasized that Buhari already owns a personal plot in Abuja, which was allocated to him prior to his presidency, and that during his time in office, he rejected further land offers, urging that such allocations be given to those without plots.

Shehu called on critics to ensure they verify the facts before making unfounded accusations and cautioned against conflating Buhari’s personal matters with the affairs of the Muhammadu Buhari Foundation.
