Represented by Oghogho Musa, the President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association, Oluremi Tinubu stressed the federal government’s unwavering support for initiatives aimed at mitigating hardship in Nigeria. She emphasized the importance of shared values like compassion, respect, and integrity in building a strong integrated community.

At the relaunch event of the Customs Officers Wives’ Association (COWA) in Abuja, Kikelomo Adeniyi, the President of COWA, announced that the N500 million fund is set to assist approximately 100,000 underprivileged Nigerians nationwide in 2024.

Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs, highlighted the pivotal role of women in tackling Nigeria’s hardship, emphasizing their significant contributions in addressing societal gaps. Adeniyi also revealed the allocation of N35 million worth of land in Abuja for COWA’s activities.

He stated, “The relaunch of COWA underscores our steadfast commitment to the empowerment and wellbeing of women within our homes as our wives and amongst our colleagues as officers. Cowa’s initiative includes the personal and professional development of officers’ wives, fostering a harmonious home environment, and actively engaging in community development, aligning strongly with the objectives of the Nigerian Customs Service.”
