Five Iranian Girls Detained For Dancing To Rema’s ‘Calm down’ (VIDEO)

Some Iranian teens have landed into trouble for posting videos of themselves dancing to Rema’s song, ‘Calm Down’. According to reports, the girls who were detained were coerced into apologizing for their actions.

According to Shahrak Ekbatan’s tweet, the five girls were first warned, then recalled and detained for two days before being forced to make a coerced confession.

According to Fox News, security forces began searching for the five girls shortly after the video, which was shot near Ekbatan, west of Tehran, went viral online. Furthermore, the ladies in the video were not wearing headgears, which are required for women in Iran, despite the fact that the video was shared on International Women’s Day.

The Shahrak Ekbatan Twitter account, which tweets about local events, confirmed that Iranian security agents were looking for the girl. A possible arrest and detention had been announced.
