Former APC Chairman BOB Enters Kwara Governorship Race

Bolarinwa made the declaration at a well-attended political event that drew party stakeholders and supporters from across Kwara State and beyond. He expressed concern over the rising security challenges in parts of the state, including cases of kidnapping and violence, assuring that his administration would take decisive action to restore peace and safety.

He stated that his government would “decisively tackle and comprehensively address insecurity at all levels, ensuring the safety of lives and property across every part of the state.”

Beyond security, the APC aspirant emphasised his commitment to human capital development, noting that education, healthcare, and skills acquisition would form the backbone of his administration’s agenda. He added that young people and women would be empowered to drive growth, stability, and innovation.

Explaining his motivation, Bolarinwa said his decision to join the race was driven by a deep desire to serve the people more effectively, describing himself as a “son of the soil” who understands the challenges and aspirations of the populace.

He highlighted his political experience spanning local government administration, legislative service at the National Assembly level, and leadership within the APC in Kwara State, saying these roles have adequately prepared him for higher responsibility.

He further promised to strengthen the state’s economy through agriculture, innovation, and enterprise development, while ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness in governance.

Calling for unity and support, Bolarinwa described his ambition as a collective mission for a better Kwara, insisting that meaningful progress cannot be achieved alone.

The declaration event also featured remarks from the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for BOB 2027, Abolaji Afolabi, who described the aspiration as a reflection of widespread public demand for improved governance and inclusive development across the state.

The event was attended by several political figures and community leaders, including former speakers and deputy speakers of the Kwara State House of Assembly, APC elders, former commissioners, local government chairmen, and other prominent stakeholders, all of whom underscored the growing political momentum surrounding the aspirant’s declaration.
