Fuel Prices Are Not Tinubu’s Fault – Remi Surutu Speaks Out

According to Ireporter Online, veteran actress Remi Surutu has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration amid rising fuel prices, insisting that the increases are driven by global factors rather than the Nigerian government.

Speaking at the launch of EKO57, a support group mobilizing backing for the president’s second term, Surutu argued that fuel costs are largely influenced by decisions of world leaders. She said, “The price of fuel is decided by some beings, by world leaders… the hike in fuel has nothing to do with Tinubu.”

Surutu reaffirmed her long-standing support for the president and encouraged Nigerians to exercise their voting rights freely and without intimidation. She also praised Tinubu’s family, describing them as “extremely very good people,” while lamenting what she perceives as a lack of unity within the Yoruba community.

“They are extremely very good people. The wife, the husband, the children, they are good people. But the fact that we Yorubas don’t love ourselves… if we can for one day relax and just think around, look at what is happening all over the world, we are still enjoying ourselves,” she added.
