Gavi Secures 500,000 Doses of Mpox Vaccine for Africa in Major Deal

Vaccine Alliance, Gavi, in collaboration with Bavarian Nordic, has reached a significant milestone in the fight against mpox. On Wednesday, the two organizations announced an Advance Purchase Agreement to secure 500,000 doses of the Modified Vaccinia Ankara-Bavarian Nordic (MVA-BN) mpox vaccine. This vaccine will be distributed to countries in Africa grappling with the current mpox outbreak.
