Gospel Singer Frank Edwards Reveals How His Mother Prevented Him From Signing A $320,000 Deal
Renowned gospel artist Frank Edwards has revealed that his mother once intervened to stop him from signing a lucrative $320,000 deal, which would have given a group control over his music catalog.
In a recent social media post, Edwards shared that his mother not only advised him against the deal but also took away his international passport to ensure he did not finalize the agreement. At the time, Edwards admitted he did not fully understand his mother’s reasoning, but he now appreciates her discernment and foresight.…READ MORE….
A Mother’s Instinct
Reflecting on the incident, the singer recalled how his mother had once given him ₦150,000 to start his music studio, emphasizing that her instincts proved to be correct in the long run. He expressed deep gratitude for his mother’s unwavering support, wisdom, and selfless love, acknowledging that her guidance had played a crucial role in his career decisions.
Edwards stated:
“Thank you for everything; this space is not enough to write about you. Thank you for being an impenetrable wall of fire! Thank you for always conveying the mind of God regarding my endeavors. None of your words fell to the ground because you truly hear from God.”
He recounted that years ago, when he was about to finalize the $320,000 deal with a group seeking ownership of his catalog, his mother firmly opposed it. She said:
“The ₦150,000 I gave you to start that studio is bigger than that money. Just give it time. They are not of God.”
To prevent him from traveling to finalize the deal, his mother took his passport, despite Edwards finding it amusing at the time, as he did not need to travel to complete the agreement. Nevertheless, he chose to heed her advice.
A New Understanding
Years later, Edwards now fully understands his mother’s perspective and acknowledges that her decision saved him from a potentially detrimental situation. He concluded his heartfelt message by saying:
“There is so much to say, but as I mentioned, this space is not enough. Happy Mother’s Day, Mum.”
The singer’s post reflects his deep appreciation for his mother’s guidance, emphasizing the significant role she has played in his life and career.
