Heartbroken: Judikay Opens Up About Losing Her Sixth Pregnancy In February

Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed the emotional toll of losing her sixth pregnancy, sharing the painful experience she endured in February 2025. According to Ireporter Online, the singer disclosed in an Instagram video that she was over three months pregnant when she first experienced cramps, initially dismissing them as minor. The discomfort soon escalated to light bleeding that intensified and did not stop.

Judikay explained that she was rushed to a hospital, where doctors confirmed a missed miscarriage and performed a D&C procedure. She described returning home and trying to cope with the loss through tears, though the nights proved the most difficult, as she grappled with deep emotional pain she could not fully express.

Reflecting on the experience, Judikay said: “In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. One of these days I was going about my day when I started to experience cramps. I said, ‘oh, okay, it was one of those things.’ And then trickles of blood and I said, ‘oh spotting.’ I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically. In the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express. I would wake and cry and say, Jesus, where are you?”

Judikay, whose real name is Judith Kanayo-Opara, is married to Anselem Opara. The couple tied the knot in November 2020 and welcomed their first child, a son, in March 2022.
