High Expectations In Minna As Tinubu Meets With Local Farmers (Photos)

Niger State, popularly known as the Power State of the Nation, is currently upbeat as the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting with farmers and agro-community groups in the State.

The meeting, which is slated for tomorrow, has already created a frenzy in Minna, with gorgeous billboards welcoming the Jagaban and his amiable running mate Kashim Shettima to the state.

A quick look at the streets reveals that locals are anticipating Tinubu’s visit and what he will have to say to them about how he intends to build on the fantastic foundation Buhari’s administration has laid in the agricultural sector.

According to local respondents who spoke with our reporters, it would be an opportunity to share views with the APC candidate on how to move the country forward. The enthusiasm surrounding Tinubu’s visit to Minna and meeting with farmers and the state’s agro commodities groups was clarified by a local by the name of Gaza Zagbayi.

“You know, Niger State is known for being one of the highest producers of agricultural commodities, and our farm produce accounts for 70% of our local economy. It is extremely exciting to hear that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has excellent plans for the agricultural sector, and we look forward to meeting him tomorrow.”

A walk through Minna’s main streets reveals that the city has a new look to welcome the Jagaban to the Power State.
