He stands accused of burying his step-brother, Friday Oshodi, alive at the behest of his mother, who alleged that Friday had stolen N1,000.

This harrowing incident transpired on Tuesday evening within the Adavi Local Government area of the state. Fortunately, vigilant neighbors came to Friday’s rescue before it was too late.

According to a witness, the stepmother instructed her eldest son to mete out punishment to Friday for the alleged theft of the N1,000.

Complying with his mother’s directive, the elder brother subjected Friday to a severe beating before resorting to the unthinkable act of burying him alive.

When questioned about his actions, Goodness stated that he was merely following his mother’s orders to discipline his sibling for purportedly pilfering from her and attempting to abscond with the money, as he had done in the past.

Goodness explained that his mother, who had instructed him to chastise Friday, was attending church when he carried out the distressing act.

The spokesperson for the command, SP William Aya, confirmed the incident and stated that Goodness is in custody, undergoing thorough interrogation. He emphasized, “Yes, we are aware. The boy has been arrested. An investigation is ongoing as to why and how such a thing could happen.”
