“How One Movie Scene Turned Me Into A Musician – Tee Famous Opens Up”

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian actor, production manager, and singer, Oluwatobiloba Abraham, popularly known as Tee Famous, has shared how a surprising turn of events on a movie set marked the beginning of his music career.

In a recent conversation on a podcast hosted by actress Biola Adebayo, Tee Famous narrated how he unexpectedly transitioned from film production to music after stepping in for a colleague during a shoot. He explained that he was originally working as part of the production crew on a movie that featured a musical performance intended for popular actor-singer Gabriel Afolayan.

“There was a particular scene that required the character to sing, and the plan was for Gabriel Afolayan to handle it since he’s a musician. I was only meant to play his friend in the movie. But when Gabriel couldn’t make it, the team tried bringing in Don Yayo, but things didn’t work out in the studio. That was when they turned to me,” he recounted.

Tee Famous said he was initially hesitant to take on the task, fearing ridicule, but eventually gave in after much persuasion. To his astonishment, his performance received widespread acclaim.

“I didn’t want to do it at first because I thought people would laugh at me. But the feedback was amazing—people genuinely loved it. That experience completely changed my perception and ignited my passion for music,” he said.

Since that pivotal moment, Tee Famous has successfully combined his acting and musical pursuits, steadily establishing himself as a versatile entertainer in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
