I Blew My Money Carelessly – Bella Shmurda Opens Up About His Past Mistakes
Afrobeats sensation Bella Shmurda has revealed that his extravagant lifestyle once brought him close to financial ruin. According to Ireporter Online, the singer admitted that freely spending on himself and indulging his friends’ expensive habits left him nearly bankrupt.
In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Bella Shmurda explained that he once had substantial wealth but often acted impulsively, purchasing items he did not need and supporting multiple friends simultaneously. He recounted a time when he was financially responsible for up to ten friends and even bought three cars at once so they could all go out together.
Reflecting on these experiences, the artist said he has since adopted a more cautious approach to money, carefully considering each financial decision. He urged fellow musicians and fans to be mindful of their spending to avoid facing similar hardships.
“I used to have a lot of money but I rushed things. I wish I was wise then. I was just buying things extravagantly, things I eventually had no need for,” he said. “Now, as I earn again, I have to think about every move I make. Back then, I was accommodating up to ten friends and we were all receiving female visitors. I even bought three cars at once so my friends could go out with me in convoy. I was reckless.”
