According to Ireporter Online, Tiwi Remi, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Remi, has opened up on her deliberate decision to stay largely off social media platforms, revealing that she maintains an active presence only on LinkedIn while avoiding popular apps such as Instagram, TikTok, and X.

Speaking during a YouTube podcast, “Bare by BKO,” Tiwi explained that her withdrawal from social media began before her marriage, during a period of personal reflection in which she felt uncertain about her life direction and preferred to focus on self-discovery rather than maintaining an online presence without clear purpose. She added that her approach to digital platforms was intentional, as she did not want to engage in what she described as superficial influence online.

She further noted that her perspective later aligned with her life circumstances after marrying the Nollywood star, whose public profile and global fan base already attract significant media attention. Tiwi said she became more aware of how visible her husband is internationally, while she remains largely invisible online, a contrast she has come to accept as part of her lifestyle choice.

The entrepreneur also clarified that she does not operate any hidden or secondary accounts and does not have social media applications installed on her personal phone. According to her, she only accesses such platforms occasionally through her husband’s device when necessary and available, stressing that she is not an active scroller but only goes online for specific purposes.

Kunle Remi and Tiwi Remi first made their relationship public in January 2024, later formalizing their union with traditional and white wedding ceremonies held in Ibadan and Lagos. The couple welcomed their first child in March 2025 following what was described as a challenging pregnancy journey.
