According to Ireporter Online, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has expressed regret over his interactions with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, stating he regrets “every minute” spent with him. Gates’s remarks come amid the release of a new batch of documents by the United States Department of Justice, which included emails involving Epstein and several prominent figures.

Some of the released documents suggested cordial relationships, financial dealings, and private correspondence connected to Epstein, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Among the records was a draft email attributed to Epstein alleging that Gates engaged in extramarital affairs. Epstein’s note claimed that he had assisted Gates in obtaining drugs and facilitating affairs.

Gates categorically denied the allegations. “That email was never sent. The email is false,” he told 9News Australia. “Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize.” A spokesperson for Gates echoed the denial, asserting that the documents merely reflected Epstein’s frustration over his failed attempts to maintain a relationship with Gates.

Melinda French Gates, speaking to National Public Radio, described the document release as reopening painful memories from her marriage. She noted that remaining questions about Epstein’s connections are for those directly involved to answer. Bill and Melinda Gates divorced in 2021.

Gates acknowledged meeting Epstein in 2011 and attending several dinners over a three-year period but insisted the relationship was limited. “The focus was always that he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health,” Gates said. He added that he never visited Epstein’s private island and denied any sexual involvement arranged by Epstein.

While the inclusion of a name in the Epstein files does not imply wrongdoing, the release of these documents has renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s relationships with influential figures.
