I’m Coming For You!’ – Nollywood Star Okunnu Hits Back At Olasco Films Over Unpaid Debt

Veteran Nollywood comic actor Wale Akorede, popularly known as Okunnu, has publicly responded to remarks by movie marketer Olasco Films, who recently labeled him ungrateful. The development follows a long-standing dispute between the actor and the company over a debt dating back 16 years.

According to Ireporter Online, Okunnu revealed in an interview with media personality Olugbenga Oropo Valentine on the SAWORO program that Olasco Films has refused to compensate him for a movie he produced, directed, and starred in as the lead actor. Describing the unpaid fees as his “sweat,” Okunnu stated that he did not receive any revenue from the project despite his contributions.

In response, Olasco Films, speaking to Tunde Ola-Yusuf, insisted that Okunnu had been paid ₦2 million for producing the movie, a figure he claims exceeded typical production costs at the time. Olasco likened Okunnu’s stance to that of “a blind man who discards his walking stick after regaining sight,” questioning the actor’s claims of unpaid labor.

Reacting to Olasco’s statements, Okunnu took to the Instagram comment section during the interview, asserting that his 16-year silence on the matter was coming to an end. He warned, “I’m still coming for you in a BIG way. My silence for 16 years is coming soon.”
