I’m Done Having Kids! Shaffy Bello Reveals She’s Had Her Tubes Tied

Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about a personal decision she made regarding her family planning many years ago. According to Ireporter Online, the actress revealed that she underwent a medical procedure to permanently prevent further pregnancies.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, Shaffy Bello TV, the actress explained that she chose to have her fallopian tubes tied approximately 26 years ago, a decision driven by her desire to limit the number of children she would have. Bello noted that the choice came despite her former husband’s wishes to expand their family.

She recounted that although her ex-husband pleaded for another child, she remained steadfast in her decision. The procedure, she said, was performed through her navel, allowing doctors to tie her fallopian tubes and permanently stop the release of eggs necessary for conception.

Bello emphasized that she had always been clear about the family size she wanted, stating that she did not feel the need to have many children. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “My ex-husband had to beg for me to have another one. I didn’t want a lot of children. I wanted to stop. So they went through my navel, went in there, did what they needed to do, and they tied it up. That was it. They closed my eggs. I’ve always said to myself that after tying my tubes, if I get pregnant, I will feel like Mary, it’s a holy child.”
