Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, has expressed concerns over the prevailing security challenges in the country, revealing that the situation has affected his ability to release new music. According to Ireporter Online, the singer made the remarks in a video shared on his social media platform, where he lamented the worsening state of insecurity across Nigeria.

In the video, the ‘Legbegbe’ crooner questioned the disposition of some of his colleagues and music enthusiasts who continue to release songs and patronize nightlife activities despite the disturbing realities facing the nation. He suggested that such actions reflect a level of insensitivity to the plight of citizens affected by the ongoing crisis.

Mr Real noted that he is constantly confronted with distressing news, which has left him apprehensive about putting out new music. While acknowledging that individuals have the right to live their lives and seek enjoyment, he maintained that the current situation in the country calls for deeper reflection and concern.

The singer further decried what he described as a growing normalization of insecurity, alleging that some individuals have turned the situation into a means of livelihood. He questioned the seeming indifference among citizens, stressing that the persistent violence and loss of lives should not be treated as normal occurrences.
