Innovation Meets Governance: Radda Unveils Fresh Appointees To Drive Katsina’s Development Agenda
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has approved the appointment of several key officials to head critical state agencies, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to efficient governance and institutional reform.
According to Ireporter Online, the announcement was made through a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohamed.
The statement disclosed that Abba Junaidu has been appointed Chairman of the Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency. Junaidu, a seasoned engineer, brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Chief Building Officer, Assistant Project Manager at the Ministry of Education, and Principal Civil Engineer at the Ministry of Works.
In addition, Dr. Babangida Ruma has been named Director General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency. Dr. Ruma, a notable technologist and serial entrepreneur, previously served as Technical Assistant to the Governor on Enterprise Development. He is widely recognised for his innovation-driven contributions to youth empowerment and was honoured by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education as the “Father of Technology and Innovation.”
Similarly, Idris Usman Tune has been appointed Chairman of the Civil Service Commission. Tune, who holds degrees in Political Science and Public Administration, previously served as Head of Service until May 2023 and has held several key positions across the state’s public service.
Governor Radda also approved the constitution of the Katsina State Pension Bureau. The board includes Ibrahim Boyi Dutsinma as Part-Time Chairman; Musa Rabiu Mahuta as Executive Director, Finance and Administration; Abbati Ibrahim Masanawa as Executive Director, Operations; Usman Shehu as Executive Director, ICT and Database Management; and Dr. Faruk Aminu as Independent Observer. Other members from relevant MDAs and labour unions will serve on the board as mandated by the Katsina State Pension Reform Law 2025.
For the Katsina State and Local Government Pension Transition Board, Hon. Muntari Dan Ammani was appointed Executive Secretary, while Garba Sanda Mani will serve as Part-Time Chairman. Dr. Faruk Aminu will also represent the board as Independent Observer, alongside union and MDA representatives.
Governor Radda urged all newly appointed officials to uphold integrity, transparency, and dedication to public service in line with his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda. The appointments take immediate effect.
