IPAC Demands Apology From Atiku Over N50m Bribery Allegation Against Opposition

Atiku recently claimed that the Federal Government was paying certain opposition members and leaders N50 million to weaken opposition parties.

However, during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Dantalle dismissed the allegation and warned that he would not take it lightly.

“You (Atiku) may have your information, but that is not enough reason to declare that all opposition members have received N50 million,” Dantalle stated. “As far as I know, my party, the Allied Peoples Movement, and the umbrella body I lead, which represents all political parties in Nigeria, have not received any such funds. I am not aware of any national chairman or leader who has collected money.”

He further criticized Atiku for unnecessarily inflaming political tensions and fostering distrust within the opposition.

“With all due respect, I expect Atiku to apologize to opposition leaders just as publicly as he made the allegation, or he should name those involved in this baseless claim,” he added.

Dantalle also revealed that he has spoken with multiple political party chairmen who are displeased with Atiku’s statement.
