“It Is God That Is Doing The Building” – RCCG Leader Offers Hope Amid National Challenges

According to Ireporter Online, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has offered words of encouragement to Nigerians, assuring them of hope amid the country’s ongoing security challenges. Speaking during the RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service on Sunday, in a sermon titled “The Master Builder,” Pastor Adeboye stressed that the church will ultimately prevail.

The cleric urged Nigerians to remain calm, emphasizing that evil will not triumph over the body of Christ. He highlighted that the current security situation should remind everyone of God’s power to build and protect His church. Quoting scripture, he said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail,” underscoring that the ultimate success of the church is assured because it is God who is building it.

Pastor Adeboye further noted that God not only builds the church corporately but also shapes individual lives, destinies, and futures. He assured believers that when God opens a door, no one can close it, and when He shuts a door, no one can open it. “Put your mind at rest. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Whether the devil likes it or not, the church is going to laugh last,” he said.

He added that God’s work extends beyond the church, emphasizing that He also transforms individuals. “Why? Because it is God that is doing the building. He said, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. But then God does much more than that. He builds people,” Pastor Adeboye said, describing God as both a master builder and an architect of lives.
