Jos Residents Flee Amid Bomb Scare Police Confirm No Explosives Found

The Plateau State Police Command quickly addressed the situation. Police Public Relations Officer Alfred Alabo confirmed that the alarm was raised early in the morning, prompting Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Adesina to dispatch a team of explosive experts and law enforcement to the scene.

The area was secured, and after a thorough examination, police confirmed it was a false alarm, finding no explosives. Commissioner Adesina commended residents for their vigilance and cooperation, assuring them the area was safe.

Local shop owner Cynthia Ukachukwu described her experience: “I was told to vacate my shop this morning, but by 11:25 am, police had allowed us back. The situation is now calm.”

The neighborhood has a history of bomb-related incidents, including a double blast in 2014. Police continue to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity while remaining calm as they carry out their daily activities.
