Just In: High Court Grants Substituted-Service Order On APC National-Chairman Ganduje In Alleged Billions-Naira Property Sale-Case (Details)

A State High Court 7, located at Miller Road, has issued an order for substituted service on Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding the alleged sale of government properties worth billions of naira.

The presiding judge, Justice Aminu Adamu Aliyu, granted this order following intense legal arguments between counsels representing both the applicants and defendants, including Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Ganduje, Lamash Properties, and others.

Recall that the State Chief Judge, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki, transferred the case involving Ganduje and seven others, accused of corruption, to Court 7 at Miller Road, from Kano High Court 4 presided by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba.

The charges against Ganduje and others include alleged bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds, totaling billions of naira. Apart from Ganduje and his family members, other respondents in the suit are Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd, and Lesage General Enterprises.

In today’s proceedings, ruling on the request for substituted service by the prosecution counsel, Barrister Zaharadeen Kofar Mata, Justice Aminu Adamu Aliyu approved the order for Ganduje, his wife, and others to be served through placement in national dailies.

The case has been adjourned to July 11th for the counsels to present their evidence of appearances and for the continuation of the hearing.
