Just In: JAMB Reschedules 2024 UTME For 24,535-Candidates (Details)

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled its 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 24,535 candidates due to significant non-compliance with its standards at certain examination centers.

In a statement signed on Sunday by JAMB’s spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board announced that affected candidates must print their supplementary Examination Notification Slips starting Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to confirm their new examination centers.

The statement explained, “The Board has painstakingly analyzed the process and conduct of the 2024 UTME in some centers where there are strong proofs of substantial non-compliance with the Board’s standards. Consequently, 24,535 candidates have been rescheduled to retake the examination in their chosen Examination Towns on Saturday, June 22, 2024.”

Additionally, JAMB has released 3,921 previously withheld results. Candidates can check their results starting from Saturday, June 1, 2024, by sending “RESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 to ascertain their status. Cleared candidates will receive their results, while those rescheduled will be informed of their new examination date.

“This release brings the total results released to 1,883,350. The rescheduled examination, which is taking place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, two weeks from now, is to give affected candidates adequate time to prepare for the exercise,” the statement concluded.
