Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has suspended the ongoing campaign in the state’s local governments until further notice.

The governor made the announcement shortly after flagging off the 10-kilometer Omi Adio-Ido road in Ido Local Government Area on Friday, saying he couldn’t campaign because the people are suffering.

The governor was scheduled to campaign in Ido Local Government Area on Friday, before moving on to Oluyole Local Government Area on Saturday.
