Just a few days prior to his meeting with Muslim leaders and community members, the former Lagos governor traveled to the United Kingdom and spoke at the Chatham House about his significant ambitions for the nation before the election.

Tinubu had failed to make his plans known and had instead selected surrogates, like as House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and Kaduna’s Nasir El-Rufai, to field questions at the British think tank event.

The ongoing Ibadan meeting is to have all hand on deck to deliver APC in 2023, Tinubu was ushered into the event by Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), an umbrella organization for Muslims in the South-West region.

Tinubu, who is running a joint Muslim-Muslim ticket with Kashim Shettima as his vice-presidential candidate, has come under fire for running a ticket of the same faith.
