According to Ireporter Online, the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, has announced that his daughter, Aisha Lamido Sanusi, will soon be joined in holy matrimony. The wedding ceremony is slated for Friday, December 12, 2025, as indicated on the official invitation card circulating among family and close associates.

Aisha, a high-achieving scholar who graduated with a First Class degree from the University of Swansea in the United Kingdom in 2023, is set to marry Flying Officer Dr. Sayyed Ahmed Usman. The prestigious event will take place at the Emir’s Palace in Kofar Kudu, Kano, where preparations are already underway.

Family members, including Fulani Siddika, shared the invitation publicly on Thursday, sparking widespread excitement across social media and within royal circles.

The announcement comes just days after another high-profile wedding involving Lieutenant A.M. Yerima of the Nigerian Navy, who recently tied the knot with his bride in Kaduna. Footage from the traditional ceremony, which surfaced online earlier this week, shows Yerima seated beside his bride with an elderly woman believed to be a relative positioned between them in accordance with northern customs.

Yerima rose to prominence following a viral video of his exchange with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over a land dispute in Abuja. Many Nigerians praised his calmness, confidence, and composure during the confrontation, which earned him widespread attention and admiration.
