candidate, does not have any social media accounts.

This clarification comes after a controversial post on X, allegedly attributed to Baba-Ahmed, was shared by a user known as @Naija_Activist. The post criticized Simon Ekpa, self-declared Prime Minister of the Biafra Government in Exile, for violence linked to the Sit-At-Home protests in Ukpo, Anambra State.

In the viral post, the user blamed Ekpa for the attacks on vigilantes and others who defied the Sit-At-Home order, calling the incidents “unfortunate and preventable.” The post urged the Igbo community to wake up to what it described as Ekpa’s harmful actions.

Tanko quickly denied any connection between Baba-Ahmed and the post, urging the public to ignore the misleading message. In a statement shared on his official X account, Tanko confirmed that Datti Baba-Ahmed does not manage any social media platforms. He also noted that Baba-Ahmed had held a press conference to publicly disassociate himself from the false post.

Tanko further condemned the post as part of a smear campaign against Baba-Ahmed and urged the public to reject and challenge the fake claims whenever encountered.
