According to Ireporter Online, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has withdrawn from the France national team camp and returned to Spain after developing inflammation in his right ankle. The French Football Federation confirmed on Friday that the player was released from camp following medical advice.

Reports indicated that Mbappé’s ankle began to swell after France’s 4–0 victory over Ukraine on Thursday, a match in which the 26-year-old scored twice to help secure the defending champions’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The goals lifted his career tally to 400, although the striker downplayed the milestone, noting that he aims for greater achievements in his career.

Team officials revealed that national coach Didier Deschamps and Real Madrid’s medical staff mutually agreed that it was safer for the forward to undergo further evaluation in Madrid. While sources quoted by international sports outlets suggest there is no immediate alarm regarding the extent of the injury, Real Madrid are expected to assess him closely over the coming days to determine his availability for upcoming fixtures.

Mbappé’s exit follows that of teammate Eduardo Camavinga, who also departed the French camp earlier in the week due to a minor muscle issue. The timing of the injury has heightened concern for Real Madrid, who are preparing for a La Liga match against Elche on November 23 and a Champions League trip to Greece to face Olympiacos on November 26.
