Military Operatives Rescue Seven Abductees From Kidnappers In Plateau

The operation, part of the ongoing Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A, was carried out at the Attakar high grounds in the Ganawuri district following credible intelligence. Reports indicated that the victims had been abducted along the Jos-Ganawuri road on March 7, 2025.

During the mission, troops engaged the kidnappers, who were forced to flee due to the military’s superior firepower. A thorough search of the area led to the rescue of the victims, identified as Sale Umar, Muhammadu Inusa, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, Abdulsalam Muhammad, Muhammad Hamisu, Ibrahim Maradu, and Saidu Sani—all from Bauchi State.

Troops also recovered a bag containing a blanket and clothing materials left behind by the fleeing criminals. After being debriefed for intelligence purposes, the rescued individuals were safely reunited with their families.

OPSH has intensified efforts to track and apprehend the kidnappers, reaffirming its commitment to eradicating criminal elements and ensuring lasting peace and security in the region.
