Moment Protesters Pulled Down National Assembly Gate (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, enraged demonstrators from the Nigerian Labour Congress took drastic action by forcibly pulling down the gates of the National Assembly in Abuja.

The protest was led by Joe Ajaero from the Nigeria Labour Congress and Festus Osifo from the Trade Union Congress, both leaders of the Organised Labour. They demanded that the security operatives present at the legislative building open the gates to allow them entry.

However, when the security officials refused to comply, the protesters grew even more furious and resorted to pulling down the gates themselves, gaining access to the assembly complex to express their grievances.

In a video capturing the incident, the protesters can be seen pushing and tugging at the gate before ultimately bringing it down.
