The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation Hadin Kai, has carried out a decisive airstrike that destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) factory and multiple terrorist gun trucks in Kwaltiri, within the volatile Tumbuktu Triangle of Borno State.

The operation, conducted on Wednesday, was confirmed in a statement released Thursday by NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame. He explained that the air assault followed actionable intelligence reports indicating increased terrorist activities in the area.

Surveillance missions verified the presence of an IED production facility and several vehicles, prompting NAF aircraft to carry out precision bombing runs that neutralized the threats.

Ejodame stated that the successful operation dealt a significant blow to the terrorists’ operational strength. It disrupted their command structure, cut off logistics channels, and severely dampened their morale and combat momentum.

He added that the airstrikes reinforce the NAF’s ongoing commitment to weakening terrorist elements and bolstering security efforts across the North-East region.
