“NANNM Hails Peaceful Installation Of Zuru’s New Emir”

Kebbi State health professionals, under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), on Thursday hailed Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, for the swift appointment of Sanusi Mika’ilu as the new Emir of Zuru.

According to ireporter online, the branch Chairman of NANNM, Comrade Kelani Abdulwaliyu, expressed that the news of Sanusi Mika’ilu’s appointment was received with immense joy.

He emphasized, “We need to celebrate him because he is one of us. He was a hardworking and humble nurse before his retirement, so we were not surprised by his appointment as the new Emir of Zuru. His humility and love for his people, being domiciled in the ancient Zuru town and attending to his community, made him the perfect choice.”

The health body also commended Governor Idris for respecting the choice of the people, which was clearly demonstrated during the election process by the kingmakers of Zuru Emirate, where Sanusi Mika’ilu secured a wide margin, winning seven out of nine votes cast.

According to ireporter online, Comrade Kelani added that the governor’s decision to appoint him following this victory signals that the governor stands firmly with the masses of Zuru, who have shown deep affection for their new Emir. “We particularly thank the governor for standing with the will of Allah and the people; we are deeply grateful,” he said.

Nurse Kelani also congratulated the people of Zuru Emirate, affirming that with Sanusi Mika’ilu as their Emir, they will certainly never regret having him as their royal father.

Recall that, according to ireporter online, Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris officially appointed Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III as the new Emir of Zuru on Thursday, following the passing of the late Emir Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo III. The letter of appointment was presented to him in Zuru town by the Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Dutsin Mari.
