“Kwankwaso Speaks Truth On Poverty, Outlines Plans For 2027”

Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano State and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has voiced serious concerns about the worsening hardship and poverty affecting Nigerians nationwide.

According to ireporter online, Kwankwaso took to X to express that the NNPP leadership and members are deeply dissatisfied with the current state of the country and the myriad challenges confronting citizens across all regions.

His remarks came shortly after the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja. During the session, Kwankwaso used the opportunity to commend the party members for their relentless efforts to advance the NNPP and congratulated them on the successes achieved in recent party elections.

According to ireporter online, Kwankwaso emphasized, “One thing is ultimately clear, we are not satisfied with many aspects of life across the country, particularly the issue of poverty. Poverty is everywhere in this country. Many communities are unable to visit the farm now. Some cannot go to the market, while some cannot even return home.”

On the matter of possible political alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections, the former governor warned party members against getting distracted by defections and speculative talks within the political arena.

According to ireporter online, Kwankwaso affirmed, “We are comfortable in the NNPP and believe that we have something to offer at the highest leadership level of this country. We are ready to talk to anybody, but any negotiation will be collective.”
