According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has reportedly stood her ground after a group of area boys stormed an outdoor film set and demanded money in what appeared to be an attempt to extort the production crew during filming in Lagos.

The incident, which surfaced in a viral video on X, showed the actress engaging the group of men who approached the set requesting a “settlement,” a demand commonly associated with disruptions faced by film crews working in public spaces. In the footage, Ademoye is seen calmly but firmly addressing the situation, making it clear she would not respond to forced demands despite her willingness to appreciate genuine support around her production environment.

Speaking partly in Pidgin English, she noted that she is familiar with street culture but would not accept ultimatums regarding payments. She stated that while she does not have issues compensating people appropriately, she would not be pressured into giving specific amounts under coercion.

The situation escalated verbally when one of the men insisted he was not begging, prompting her to respond that his approach amounted to begging and was being framed with undue pride. Tension briefly increased when a threat was allegedly made to switch off the production camera, to which she responded by defending the value and uniqueness of the equipment on set.

Although the confrontation disrupted filming, there was no physical violence reported, and no weapons were visible in the video. The incident has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users praising the actress for her composure and refusal to be intimidated during the encounter.
