2027 Elections: APC Pushes Deadline For Form Sales And Submission
According to Ireporter Online, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension of the timetable for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision was reached by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) during a meeting held on Thursday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, and was confirmed in an official statement released via the party’s handle.
Under the revised schedule, the sale of forms will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms and supporting documents has been shifted to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Speaking on the development, the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, explained that the extension became necessary due to the nationwide public holiday observed on Friday, as well as the growing number of aspirants showing interest in contesting under the party’s platform.
Previously, the sale of forms had been scheduled to run from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026, with submissions initially set to close on Monday, May 4, 2026. The new adjustment, according to the party, is aimed at ensuring inclusivity and smooth participation in the electoral process.
