Naval Officer Cynthia Akor Rescued in Joint Operation

Akor and two other civilians were kidnapped on Friday evening at the Mamman Vatsa Estate gate along Mpape Road, Abuja. The kidnappers had demanded ₦500 million for the naval officer and ₦200 million each for the two civilians.

Following a distress call, security forces launched an extensive search across Mpape, Gidan Bawa, Anguwan Mu’azu, and Yelwa Hills, covering both Abuja and Nasarawa State. Four suspects were arrested, and ₦3.5 million in ransom money from previous kidnappings was recovered.

The victims are in stable condition and receiving medical care at the Nigerian Army Clinic in Abuja. Authorities have increased security in Mpape and surrounding areas to prevent further incidents.
