The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has once again reaffirmed its commitment to infrastructural transformation with the commissioning of the fully reconstructed 23.7 km Ndoro-Ntalakwu and its adjoining road network in Abia State. The unveiling of this significant project was carried out by the Honorable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. In his address, Engr. Momoh urged other development agencies across Nigeria to take a cue from the NDDC’s exemplary approach to project delivery. Expressing his excitement over the milestone, the Minister emphasized the importance of giving the Commission’s board and management the necessary support to continue their impressive work in the Niger Delta.
Representing Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, at the event was the Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, who commended the NDDC for delivering a project of such high quality. He lauded the initiative as a critical intervention that would enhance the economic and social activities of the region.
The Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Sam Ogbuku, and the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, also addressed the gathering, reiterating the Commission’s commitment to sustainable infrastructural development. Both officials reassured residents that more transformative projects were on the way, solidifying the NDDC’s reputation as a game-changer in the Niger Delta’s development.
This latest commissioning marks the fourth massive road project delivered by the NDDC in just four weeks, underscoring the Commission’s aggressive push to improve connectivity and ease of transportation across the region. With several more projects in the pipeline, the NDDC continues to redefine the narrative of infrastructural development in the Niger Delta, proving that impactful governance can be a reality when commitment meets execution.
The people of Abia State can now enjoy the benefits of a top-tier road network that promises to boost economic activities, ease movement, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. As the NDDC charges ahead with more groundbreaking projects, the message is clear—progress is not just a promise; it is being delivered.
