NDIS 2025: Nigeria Set To Unlock Billions Through Global Diaspora Investments

According to Ireporter Online, preparations are in top gear for the 8th Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS 2025), an event projected to significantly accelerate Nigeria’s economic transformation by leveraging the financial strength, innovation, and expertise of Nigerians living abroad.

Scheduled to take place from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the State House in Abuja, the high-level summit is jointly organised by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) and the Nigeria Diaspora Summit Initiative (NDSI). With the theme, “Fast Tracking Regional & National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment,” the forum aims to unite investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and professionals from across the world to explore sustainable investment opportunities in key sectors of the Nigerian economy.

The hybrid summit will feature keynote presentations, investment pitches, exhibitions, and strategic networking sessions designed to strengthen partnerships between the diaspora community and domestic investors. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, while Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, will serve as Chief Host.

Dr. Dabiri-Erewa noted that the summit has continued to serve as a powerful catalyst for development by linking Nigerians abroad with tangible business opportunities that foster job creation and national growth.

Adding to the event’s distinguished lineup, the keynote address will be delivered by Professor (Dr.) Bartholomew Nnaji, former Minister of Power and Chairman of Geometric Power Limited, while Mr. Temi Popoola, Group Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Exchange Group, is expected to speak on innovative pathways for diaspora-driven investments.

Stakeholders believe that NDIS 2025 will not only deepen diaspora engagement but also provide a dynamic platform to mobilise global capital for Nigeria’s socio-economic advancement.
