“Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence On Viral Video, Denies Taking New Wife”

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to a viral video circulating on social media that purportedly shows a young woman alleged to be his new wife. The speculation gained traction amid unverified reports of tension in his marriage with actress Regina Daniels.

Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North, firmly debunked the claim, describing it as false and unfounded. He clarified that the woman in question had visited him alongside her team as part of the Peace Ambassadors Initiative, a group led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule.

The lawmaker explained that the photos and videos being shared online were taken during the official visit, stressing that such recordings are common during formal meetings and public engagements. He criticized those spreading the misinformation, accusing certain blogs and social media users of deliberately twisting innocent interactions for attention and online traffic.

Nwoko warned that such false narratives could lead to legal repercussions under Nigeria’s Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act of 2015. He emphasized that he has no personal or private relationship with the woman featured in the video and urged the public to disregard the misleading claims.

In his words, he noted that it was “unfortunate what social media has become — a space where moments are easily twisted for clout and misinformation.” The senator further cautioned individuals and media outlets propagating the story to desist immediately or face legal action for defamation and false publication.
