According to Air Force spokesperson Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, intelligence indicated that Bula Marwa was a key gathering point for Boko Haram leaders. Surveillance missions identified increased movement and gatherings, including motorcycles, at the location. NAF promptly dispatched fighter jets to the site, executing a targeted bombing, which led to significant casualties among the terrorists.
Akinboyewa stated, “Airstrikes killed scores of Boko Haram terrorists at two key locations in Bula Marwa, Borno State.” Subsequent surveillance captured footage of suspected terrorists returning to assess the strike impact and rescue wounded members. Follow-up strikes were conducted, further neutralizing additional terrorists.
NAF’s air component under Operation Hadin Kai has disrupted planned terrorist activities, incapacitating fighters and vehicles essential for ambushes and other attacks. The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to executing operations with precision to eradicate terrorism and secure Nigeria’s sovereignty.
