Mr. Adeolu Iwakun, the Convener of GRENFGG, conveyed this message in the group’s New Year address on Monday in Akure. Iwakun emphasized the importance of making policies and programs practical by establishing necessary mechanisms for their success.

The call extends to both the Tinubu-led Federal Government and the Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led Ondo State Government. GRENFGG urges the implementation of monitoring schemes to ensure the effective execution of poverty alleviation programs, emphasizing the need for these initiatives to reach the grassroots level where they are most needed.

Iwakun sees Aiyedatiwa’s leadership as an opportunity to prioritize the welfare of the people in Ondo State, particularly those at the grassroots level. The group encourages the adoption of policies and schemes that uplift and empower the population, with a specific focus on the youth, agriculture, and education sectors.

The message to President Tinubu underscores the importance of commitment to inclusivity, engaging the youth, and addressing the needs of those at the grassroots level to foster sustainable development in Ondo State. Additionally, GRENFGG appeals for support in realizing the Ondo Seaport project, recognizing Tinubu’s heritage in the riverine Ondo South, which could significantly contribute to economic growth and job creation in the state.
