She expressed gratitude for the nation’s strength and resilience, calling on Nigerians to unite and bridge divides in the spirit of love, respect, and understanding. She urged that 2025 be a year where citizens invest in each other, foster the growth of youth, and protect the dignity of elders. Above all, she envisioned a nation where every Nigerian can flourish, no matter their background, faith, or language.
“The administration of President Bola Tinubu is deeply committed to transformative reforms that will unlock Nigeria’s untapped potential,” Mrs. Tinubu affirmed. “Together, we can create the Nigeria we all desire.”
In a heartwarming ceremony on New Year’s Day, Mrs. Tinubu welcomed the first baby born in Abuja at the Asokoro District Hospital. Mrs. Shettima conveyed the First Lady’s well wishes for long lives, good health, and prosperity, while encouraging new mothers to ensure their babies receive proper care, breastfeeding, and timely immunizations. She further commended the Asokoro District Hospital for their excellent service and praised the government’s efforts in transforming the healthcare sector.
Dr. Rosemary Nwokorie, Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, also acknowledged the unwavering commitment of President Tinubu’s administration to improving the healthcare system, emphasizing the Renewed Hope Initiative’s role in aiding vulnerable populations, particularly women and children.
In this season of hope and renewal, Mrs. Tinubu’s message set a hopeful tone for the year, focusing on collective efforts to rebuild and strengthen Nigeria for the future.
