Speaking at the party’s annual verification exercise with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), National Chairman Dr. Ajuri Ahmed reiterated the party’s zero-tolerance policy for actions that undermine its principles.

“Anti-party activities are unacceptable in our democratic party,” Ahmed stated. “We expect all members to remain disciplined and operate within our constitution. The internal mechanisms of our party will be guarded jealously.”

Ahmed assured members that the NNPP remains committed to adhering to its constitution and constitutionally governing Kano State as the ruling party and serving as a constructive opposition elsewhere.

The party chairman also addressed claims of leadership disputes from expelled members, dismissing them as unfounded and accusing the individuals of collaborating with rival parties to destabilize the NNPP.

“These individuals are spreading falsehoods and propaganda, claiming the management of our party has been handed over to them,” Ahmed said. “But today’s INEC exercise reaffirms that we have been, we are, and will continue to be the New Nigeria Peoples Party.”

Ahmed praised INEC for fulfilling its statutory role, saying that the verification exercise underscores the legitimacy and stability of the NNPP’s leadership.
